Step into a world of imagination with this touching musical presented by the Active and Creative Teen Theatre. Set in the chaos of World War II, this story follows a young girl, Alice Spencer, who takes shelter with a friend in a London Underground station during the Blitz. As bombs fall on London, Alice clings to her cherished copy of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, using its familiar characters and whimsical world as a refuge from the fear and uncertainty surrounding her. The show is produced, directed and acted by teens with guidance by the Springfield Theatre Centre Board. The musical was created by Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik, the Tony and Grammy Award-winning creators of Spring Awakening. Tickets are $20-22 at hcfta.org.
