There’s
something for everyone at the Lincoln Balloon Festival. Float up, up and away in
a hot air balloon, slide down an inflatable waterslide, scamper up a rock wall
or simply take in the action from the ground. Balloons launch at 6 p.m. on Friday
and Saturday nights and return for evening glows at dusk. Tethered balloon
rides are available for $15 per adult and $10 per child. Up to six people may
ride at one time, weight permitting. Paid balloon flights are available for
$250 per person. Take off is 6:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and
each flight lasts 45 minutes to one hour, traveling high above the city of Lincoln
and Logan County. Balloon flights may be by calling the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber
of Commerce at 735-2385. Other festival
fun includes a carnival with inflatable waterslides and a rock climbing wall,
food vendors, a beer garden, a family kite fly and kite demos, exotic petting
zoo, celebrity donkey races, live music and much more. General admission is $5
per adult, $1 per children. Parking is available on-site for $1. For more
