The International Route 66 Mother Road Festival takes to the streets of Springfield, Sept. 27, 28 and 29. The spectacular celebration kicks off Friday night as the Rt. 66 City Nights Cruise departs from Capital City Shopping Center and makes its way up Sixth Street to the square. Select your favorite spot along the parade route or find the perfect viewing place downtown. With more than 1,000 cool cars on display, including the LRS Monet of Cars featuring a 1947 Cadillac Convertible, 1957 Corvette Convertible, 2006 Boss Hoss and a Hoss Fly, non-stop bands playing classic hits of the 50s, 60s and 70s, a family fun zone, a burnout competition and more, the capital city is expected to welcome 80,000 people for this huge lively festival.
