Southwind Park continues to mature (have you seen the wind turbine yet?) and this Saturday, June 19, offers an amazing day for families to enjoy with Dad. There’s a lineup of entertainment, activities and park offerings including fishing (with a clinic and free poles for kids while supplies last), treeless tree house, horseshoes, splash fountain, historic arches light show, tram rides and more, and the park plans a Rod Stewart Tribute show, clown and magic shows, hot air balloon rides, fireworks at 9:15 p.m., live acoustic acts, free cotton candy, bounce houses, a caricature artist, food concessions, an opening ceremony, free parking and lots more entertainment and activities. Bring your blanket or chair. For a list of individual acts and activities with times, visit www.southwindpark.org. The Father’s Day Celebration takes place rain or shine.
