Once again, Faingold at Large proudly presents Between the Cracks – the recurring feature designed to shine a light onto Springfield-area bands, and all in their own words, to boot. Join us, won’t you? There’s gold between them thar cracks!
Today’s BTC flashlight shines on Looming, which makes its concert debut tonight at Black Sheep Cafe (1320 S. 11th, Springfield).

What’s in a name, particularly yours? I think our name just stands as a simple representation of us as a band. You know, in the end it’s just a name but the theme carries throughout our lyrics and that certain brooding feeling that sits within us all from time to time.Â
When did you form? Summer of 2013
Releases/discography/download links: We just put out our self-titled EP with Patch Records that you can listen to and download at loomingband.bandcamp.comÂ
How do you pay the bills? One of us works at a print shop, one of us works as a receptionist/barista, and two of us are in college! We don’t really have bills as a band….luckily Patch Records put our CD and patches out for us so I guess they pay the bills?Â
What other artists have had the biggest impact on you? Good Luck, Laura Stevenson and the Cans, Our Lady, Park,TTNG, Manchester Orchestra
Finish this sentence: If we didn’t have to worry about money, we’d…go on tour with our dogs, duh
Upcoming live appearances: Our very first show is this Saturday September 21 at Blacksheep Cafe with The Timmys, Skank and Built in a Day, 7pm $5; Â and December 1 at Blacksheep Cafe with Captain Chaos, Kyle Hall and Lovecow 7pm $5
