Lincoln Memorial Garden will welcome in fall on Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 12-13 with their popular Indian Summer Festival. Family activities on the grounds will include crafts, face painting, storytelling, puppet shows, pumpkin decorating and fairy house building. In addition to more than 40 craft vendors, Art in the Garden will take place simultaneously during the festival with a dozen or more artists creating art along the trails. Live music includes Thomas, Turasky, Burnett Trio; The Emerald Underground; The Blue Gs; Never Mind the Weather; Ben Bedford; and Murder of Crows. Wildlife Prairie State Park will show audiences some of their animals, while Smokey Bear is expected to visit, too. Scrumptious festival food and Eloise “Scarecrow” Baird creating balloon sculptures are always hits.
