The Legacy Theatre is celebrating its reopening by bringing one of the most cherished American classics onto its stage. A fast-talking traveling salesman brings trouble to River City, Iowa, where he cons the townspeople into buying instruments for an imaginary band, but his plans are foiled when his heart is stolen by the town librarian. The Music Man was a sensation when it opened on Broadway in 1957, and it will touch your heart and have you dancing in the aisles. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the day of the show. Admission for seniors and children to Wednesday and Thursday performances is $23, with advance ticket purchases. The Legacy is run only with the help of volunteers, and so does not maintain daily box office hours. The box office is open 90 minutes prior to each performance or advance tickets can be purchased online or by phone.
