I used to think China had political and economic advantages over the United States because, as a dictatorship, it could move quickly, building dams in a decade and cities in a year, while eliminating political opposition by thuggery and violence wherever it cropped up. In my mind, however, that advantage of speed was outweighed by the morality and accuracy of the U.S. system, which was slower because of checks and balances. It seemed to take forever for Congress, courts and voters to make a decision, but when they did it was usually a good one that earned public support. Now this country is trying the Chinese model of government by executive order. With little experience at that style of governing, we are learning, slowly, that it is a good way to make mistakes quickly, and to rapidly destroy the support of the people. – Fletcher Farrar, editor

Is this an article from 2010 right after Obama lost his congressional majority and promised to govern with a “pen and phone“. Of course not; you were silent about all of that because you were OK with who held the pen and the phone since you agreed with his ideas.
Hi Frederick,
You are not wrong, but it’s important to remember that the woke don’t care when you point out their hypocrisy. They just don’t care. Politics is nothing but a power struggle for them and things like standards and morals don’t apply.
They will say one thing on Monday and then the opposite on Tuesday if they think it helps them.
