it’s
happened again midnight jerked up by our roots yes in our backyard summer camp real sun real rain real wind some of us manage to throw down a root outside our pots nodes and such our shivering saps foretold tonight’s frost so we were waiting still apprehensive but here we are safe though sprawled on the kitchen floor some root balls out of pots but it’s warm and in the morning we’ll be disentangled cleaned up (surprised spiders put out in the cold) placed in the familiar bay window drink our yearly shot of plant grog and watch the busy squirrels while winter comes on
