“Ah, music. A magic beyond all we do here,” said Albus Dumbledore, the fictional headmaster of the school for young wizards and witches, in author J.K. Rowling’s novel Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Tomorrow and Saturday, Harry Potter fans can accompany the Illinois Symphony Orchestra on a musical journey as it makes some magic of its own by performing “some of the most iconic pieces of music from the Harry Potter (movie) series.” And the ISO, led by music director Taichi Fukumura, is inviting attendees to wear their finest robes and “come as your favorite witch or wizard for a night brimming with wonder and delight, perfect for wizards and Muggles of all ages.” Tickets start at $30 for adults and $10 for students. Can’t make Friday’s show? A second show is scheduled Saturday, March 8, at 7:30 p.m. at Illinois State University’s Center for the Performing Arts, 351 S. School St., Normal.
