Arjia Rinpoche, a Tibetan high lama who fled Tibet in 1998, addresses the audience in a 45-minute lecture followed by a question and answer session and book signing. Rinpoche shares his story of the turbulent years in Tibet during the Cultural Revolution that included 16 years in a forced labor camp and his rise to prominence within the Chinese Buddhist bureaucracy. His memoir, Surviving the Dragon, will be available for purchase.
