Theatre in the Park at New Salem announced a change to its summer lineup. Due to the production of Hands on a Hard Body being postponed until 2027, three new performances have been scheduled.
Popular impersonator Rick Dunham brought Elvis Himselvis to the park on July 11 for an evening of rock and rolls hits backed by a five-piece band, while local singer and songwriter Tom Irwin was scheduled to perform July 18 until rain forced a cancelation.
And audiences can look forward to Live from Loomis on Saturday, July 25. Originally performed on Radio 60 Productions in the 1990s, the hilarious Loomis episodes were performed at Lincoln’s New Salem and aired on NPR radio.
Tickets are available online, by calling 217-725-0239 or at the gate. Patrons are encouraged to bring cash or check for on-site ticket or concession purchases.
