Celebrate the wines of winter on Friday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m., in the Crowne Plaza Springfield, during the Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Association’s annual Winter Wine Festival. The festival offers the opportunity to taste the offerings of more than 15 Illinois wineries, features live entertainment by the Debbie Ross Band, and highlights food and wine pairings with hors d’oeuvres. Advance admission costs $20 and includes five tasting tickets plus a complimentary wine glass. Admission will be available at the door for $25, which includes three tasting tickets and a complimentary wine glass. Additional tasting tickets can be purchased during the festival for $1 per ticket.
