This Saturday, Dec. 20., travel back in metaphorical time with Edge of Perception and the Trailhead Healing Arts Center for a Yule Winter Solstice Celebration. The Winter Solstice Celebration is the fourth in a series of “sacred journey” events. It is a celebration in the style of our Nordic ancestors who traditionally celebrated the Winter Solstice by gathering around a bonfire, sharing stories of gods, creating and crafting tools and other sacred items by hand and ruminating over the coming New Year. Participants are invited to gather starting at 6 p.m., with the celebration set to officially begin at 6:30 p.m. Costumes or ritual attire are encouraged, as is bringing a snack to share with others. There is no entrance fee for this celebration, but a $5 donation to help cover space rental would be much appreciated.
