We lost our sister, Diane Bantner, on June 23, 2024, to non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver which turned to cancer. Diane worked in the pathology department at Memorial for 45 years before retiring. She started with Dr. Grant Johnson. She was a little intimidated by him at first, but then became good friends with him. She said basically she had received a college education from him. She developed many friends through her job who she kept in touch with including Dr. John Murphy, Linda Harris, Mary, Kay, Lowe and many more too numerous to mention. Her hobbies included collecting angels, riding her Harley-Davidson, rescuing Lhasa Apso dogs and antiquing among many other things. Her pride and joy was her only son, Jamey (Jessica), whom she loved with all of her heart. She also left behind grandchildren as well as a great-grandson and sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces and nephews. She took great pride in everything she did and missions she had accomplished. She will be missed terribly. We still are at a loss that she has left us but know that she has gone to a better place to see loved ones that have gone before her. She is sadly missed by her family.
