MYRL BURGENER

Myrl Burgener was a hardworking family man who didn’t know a stranger. Everywhere he went he made friends. After he retired from a long and successful career with Lincolnland FS he became a “snowbird” and wintered in San Benito, Texas, where he was known as the “Mayor of M Street.”

Myrl was always up for an adventure. He was instrumental in scheduling family gatherings – cookouts with the kids and grandkids, an annual family trip, regular family dinners, Christmas with the extended family, reunions with the cousins, trips to the state fair, fishing and more. There were also gatherings with camping groups, visits with friends throughout the U.S., and their friends in Texas. He brought people together and made everyone feel loved. He put others first and made everyone feel welcome.

He loved working in the yard, fishing, dancing and most of all, spending time with his family – kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He was active with the church and was well respected by everyone who knew him. He was a leader, a teacher and a mentor who made an impact on so many with his kindness, patience, sense of humor and a whole lot of love.

Daughter-in-law Lee-Ann Burgener
