In a lifetime of music that started at age seven and began professionally during college, Carl Bopp indeed epitomizes the words "lifelong musician" and continues to live up to that moniker every day. Based out of Pekin, his Facebook page "about" section says it all: "I'm a musician/entertainer and a photographer performing at events and venues in the Midwest," and that's what he is and does. Carl fits the music and the musicians to the gig, playing solo or with bands, including Class Act, featuring horns and drums, Water Street Stompers, doing authentic New Orleans jazz, and StyleCatz as a Ratpack/Vegas revue. Generally, he accompanies himself on piano while singing, but Carl is also well-versed in all kinds of keyboards, plus flute and vibes, as well as swinging a mean accordion, which comes in handy for real-deal Oktoberfest polkas and other such stuff. It's been awhile since he's played in Springfield, so come on out and say hey, especially you old friends from the heyday of our piano bar era.
