If you talk about making something out of nothing, then you better start talking about Route 66 Motorheads Bar, Grill & Museum, because there wasn't much out there on Toronto Road west of I-55 until owner and operator Ron Metzger got this place rolling back in 2018.
Going from "Where is that at?" to become the best place to dance as well as see live music for a "small" venue is an incredible achievement, and one which our readers have duly noted as exceptional for 2023. The dancing area in a venue makes or breaks a place and Motorheads has a dance space (known as the Motordome) that makes it work quite well.
And it is very likely that this double win is no coincidence, as the live music booked here compliments the more-than-decent dance floor, making it a winning combo, not to mention the tasty food and delicious drinks available on site as well (Motorheads won Best New Restaurant in 2019).
When you add in the superb stage area with a huge back screen for band logos, the museum part with all the antique signs and other items, along with the largest Route 66 sign in the world, you've got a spot that is most definitely a winner, and this year it's a done deal. So go treat yourself and get out to Motorheads and do some dancing while listening to live music and find out why this is one of the best places in 2023.
