The forest – an expanse of land densely populated with lust vegetation, covering and rising above the ground. Animals of varying species and birds of varying types and sizes. Some dwelling above and beneath the ground. Then there are bushes, slopes, changes in rivulets and suddenly changing and an indiscriminately located topography, which may hinder, limit and even prevent intentional progression.

Unlike the big city, the vastness and beauty of the forest can be overwhelming to those whose minds and value systems navigate with a seeming structuredness of systematized layouts of streets and boulevards, even alleyways, giving a sense of “order” that allows for intentional “control.”

The forest, on the other hand, presents a much more complicated effort to plan ones direction for moving “forward” and “progressively.” In that area which includes various forms of vegetation, which in biological, ecological and climactic harmony, includes a balanced system for the growth and positive development of all living beings exiting within. Central to that harmonic ecosystem are “trees” of varying sizes, functions and life spans! Much of that harmonic interaction goes unseen, and often unrealized and hidden by trees, an integral part of the forest.

Into that systematic forest operation comes man whose divine assignment is to “replenish” the Earth – the areas in which those “forests” exist. Unfortunately, man may become so enamored, misguided, uncomfortable, disappointed and even determine to alter, relocate even eliminate many of those trees which compose that forest. All for his personal purpose.

Enter certain men with a sense of self-willed intent and purpose, which does not include many of those “unwanted” trees. They did not grow up in a forest, but they were given “dominion,” but chose to exercised “domination” over it. And based on their views and personal preferences, their desires and intents for that forest lead them to consider certain trees to be hindrances to their wishes for that “forest” was capable of becoming. Their self-focused will hinders them from seeing and appreciating the forest for what it is. All they can see are some trees which conflicted with their personal plans for that forest area.

Unconcerned about that preexisting forest, they choose to “eliminate” those trees which complicate and limited their pleasure. Some trees were located in areas that they feel are “undesirable.” Other trees are “inadequate” for their intentions. Still others are “incapable” of measuring up to their standards.

Those “trees,” which were originally integral parts of that harmonic operation of that forest, were all that he could see. The original forest they simply seek to eliminate.

They have already carved out their own “forests” along hillsides and seashores. They eliminate “trees” which hinder their operational systems.

They eliminate “undesired trees” – systems and organizations, ethnic groups and religious bodies, even business and governmental entities. All are under the scrutiny and value of their perceived “forest.” And they even seek to expand their perceived “forests” to other “shores.”

But! They either forget and/or ignore the fact that they neither created those “trees” nor the ecosystems by which those forests of human life operate. Worst of all, they fail to take the divine intent of those forests to exist and operate. Sooner or later, the moment will come when the consequences of not seeing the divine purpose of the forest will be revealed. And no “tree leaf” effort will be able to cover-up the truth of rejection of God’s will and purpose for this human and/or political governmental forest in which we live. This forest “under God” must be allowed to exist with all of the “trees” which God has planted within it. Life is like a forest. The Forest includes the trees.

When you can’t see the forest for the trees, then you are subject to forfeit your purpose for being. The psalmist admonishes all of us:

“Fret not thyself because of evildoers,
neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
and wither as the green herb.”
– Psalms 37:1, 2 KJV

When you can see the trees as an integral part of a forest, then you will be encouraged and reassured to:

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked:
for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;
but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”
– Galatians 6:7, 8  KJV
