Witness the art of improv as the Portuguese Rodeo Clown Company performs at the Hoogland Center for the Arts, Oct. 11 and 12. The small troupe will unleash two hours of unscripted theater from audience suggestions. And those with the best suggestions walk away with not only a smile, but also a gift from the prize box that includes bizarre objects such as a cassette tape of James Brown hits, an abacus, and yes, a football lamp with feet. If you enjoy “Whose Line is it Anyway?” or The Second City improv shows, purchase your tickets now. In addition to the two nightly shows with ticket prices of $15, Portuguese Rodeo Clown Company is also presenting Comedy for a Cause on Friday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m. The 83-minute unscripted comedy benefit aids Illinois Council of the Blind. Tickets for that one time, exclusive show are $10.
