Forever Plaid tells the fictional story of a young male vocal group, The Plaids, who perished in a car accident on their way to see the Beatles perform on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964. By some miracle occurring nearly 50 years later, The Plaids are permitted to return to earth to live their dream for one night only. Directed by Gus Gordon, Forever Plaid features local talent Kellen Fant, Damien Kaplan, DJ Schultz and Nathan Garrett Moss as The Plaids. This show is characterized by complex four-part harmonies, fun choreography and more than two dozen hit songs from the 50s and 60s, such as “Day-O,” “Chain Gang” and “Love is a Many Splendored Thing.” Forever Plaid opens Friday, Jan. 31, and will be performed six times at the Hoogland Center for the Arts on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Feb. 8. Tickets are $18 for adults or $16 for seniors and students, and can be purchased online at hcfta.org, via phone at 523-2787 and in person at the HCFTA box office.
