Something about “power,” in whatever form, or source, from which it may come or exist, can cause great things to happen. When God stood out on the banisters of nothingness and declared, “Let there be …,” no greater power in heaven nor on Earth could have ever been affirmed. Even since that time the essence of “power” became a reality.
Even one of the angelic beings, Satan, sought to even “assume” power over power. He started out implementing that “power” with a third of the heavenly host only to find that “assumed power” can never overcome “Inherent Power.” In a realm where “Inherent Power” dwells, “assumed power” cannot exist, thus Satan and those rebellious beings were cast to Earth.
Even there, Satan sought to implement the process of man trying to “assume” his power over the word and will of God. “Disobey God and still ‘be like’ God. Take control over yourself!”
Throughout time the acquisition and assertion of “power” has been the hallmark of interhuman actions and reactions. “Power” has become the driving force of sin. “Power” has become a capitalistic cancer in the interactions of man and man, and man and God. The sense of “power” spreads and metastasizes throughout the “body” – physically and spiritually. Misguided “power” will also result in devastating consequences. Held unchecked, it will have a most devastating, even debilitating, impact upon the body, mind and spirit.
Satan even tried to “infect” Jesus – the son of God – with capitalistic cancer! “All of these kingdoms of the World will I give you! You will have “power” (satanic power) over them!”
Capitalism, by the way, is a concept of “control” based on the economic elements of life. Produce, minerals, oil, gas – anything that other folk need for their existence. Control “things” and you can control “people.” Capitalism is a form of “lording oneself over others,” whether as an individual or a group.
And God’s word declares that “the love of money” – that which is given in exchange for something needed or desired – is the root of all evil. Capitalism unchecked is another form of assuming a form of “lordship” over others. And heaven only knows the extent to which that “cancer” has spread. Even “metastasized” within the realm of interhuman relationships. From the dawn of time, various “leaders have become “infected” with the cancer of “power” – personal, social, educational, political – and even economic power over others.
What else is really behind the current governmental, national and international arguments, postulating, skirmishes, tariffs, even wars currently being waged throughout this world? Mammon! The love of money!
Like a cancerous infection, money – the power of money – seems to offer and even assure certain people and leaders a sense of “ownership” over others.
In far too many cases, cancer can be unnoticed. But depending upon its respective nature, it will soon manifest itself in some of the most debilitating and devastating manners! Some cancers may be hidden, but their impact can be just as debilitating, if not deadly. And like in most all cancers, others are directly impacted and affected by them whether by transmission or by relationship with those who are infected.
Fortunately, there are cures and treatments for many physical cancers. But there is only one cure for spiritual cancers. Unlike chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and other treatments, spiritual cancers can only be treated spiritually. One’s “spirit” has to change. One must receive the spirit of God. One who lives by the Spirit of God does not seek to focus on, nor live by the spirit of the adversary of God! He – Satan- is that one who has “infected” man with the spirit of the antichrist.
Following the word of Christ will help prevent becoming infected and controlled by the metastasizing and spiritually debilitating powers of satanic thought and behavior.
This nation is being gravely influenced and led by to many persons – high and low – who have become gravely infected and influenced by the desire for power.
Unless you are infused with and empowered by the spirit of God, then you are susceptible to the metastasizing and debilitating effects of power.
Following those who crave “power” in all of its forms subjects you to those same possibilities of infection and debilitating temporal and eternal results.
Operating under Satan’s power makes you his – and subject to his destruction.
