SPORTS | Run where Lincoln walked on Saturday
This annual event immerses runners in Lincoln history unlike any other race! The race starts and finishes at the Old State Capitol where Lincoln gave his House Divided speech and near his former law office. The course also goes by his home, through Oak Ridge Cemetery and other sites with ties to Lincoln. Hosted by Springfield Road Runners Club. It’s not too late to register to run or be a volunteer. It costs $90 to run, $40 to volunteer. Learn more at srrc.net. From 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, participants can attend an expo at the Old Capitol, get their packets, and get info and giveaways from various vendors.
