The surviving members of Monty Python, beloved and venerable British comedy troupe (OK, Terry Gilliam originally hails from Wisconsin) recently reunited for a series of stage shows in the UK. Today marks the final show in that sold-out run.

Local fans of the silly-walking, cheese-shopping, Spanish Inquisitioning, dead-parroting, cross-dressing satirists are being afforded a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity this afternoon. Despite the best efforts of the AMC chain to keep Springfield in the dark about their offerings, it has come to the attention of Faingold at Large that today’s Python swan song is being simulcast live to movie theaters across the country, including our very own AMC Showplace 12 at 1:30 PM this afternoon (8:30 in Britain).

How’s that  for something completely different?

We are afraid Graham Chapman will not be part of tonight’s performance as he has come over all dead.
