Cory James Beebe, 37, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025.
Born on Oct. 17, 1987, in Champaign, Cory was raised the son of Jack R. and Sheila Z. Beebe.

Cory was preceded in death by his biological mother, Sandra Nejman Black; his father, Jack R. Beebe; his grandparents, Elizabeth and Joseph Nejman, and Mary and Frank Beebe; as well as his aunt, Ann Nejman, and uncle, Tom Jonak.
He is survived by his mother, Sheila Beebe; sisters, Erika (Tom) Mulvenna of Chicago, Sophia Beebe of Chatham, and Brittany (Paul) Roberts of Pleasant Plains; his aunts, Sharon Nejman of Bloomington and Barbara Jonak of Ohio; uncles, Scott Nejman of Wisconsin, Joseph (Tracy) Nejman of Florida, and Shawn (Tami) Nejman of Minnesota; nieces, Kate, Grace, and Izzy; and many cousins, including Josh and Melissa Jonak, Kyle, Cameron, Courtney, Amber, Alex, Jackson, Joshua, Emma and Sam, and their son, Forrest.
The family will host a Celebration of Cory’s Life at Washington Street Mission on Friday, Feb. 21, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Steve Ohl and Rev. Martin Woulfe officiating.
