Coming from Chicago and claiming to be best, and incidentally, the only Talking Heads tribute band from the Windy City, This Must Be the Band likes being faux T-Heads a lot. How they best like to display this like comes in two formats. The first is a “note-for-note and prop-for-prop” recreation of the 1984 concert film, Stop Making Sense. They’ve sold out this reenactment for three years in a row at Chicago venues the Vic Theatre and Park West. The second way they like to play comes as an “all request show” that includes some improvisation and audience participation. They created this recreation in May of 2007 when some heads got together and starting talking about the name of this band. They claim to be “extremely happy to play Talking Heads music night after night because the music is just that much fun” and who would dare doubt Charlie Otto as David Byrne, Jamie Jay as Tina Weymouth, Matt Gunsaulus as Bernie Worrell, Otto as Adrian Belew and Kasey Foster as Ednah Holt.
