The racial injustice of sundown towns

Logan Jaffee, a reporter for the Chicago-based ProPublica Illinois, will discuss a Sunset Town in Illinois and will share her findings about contemporary Anna in Union County. Her article, "The Legend of A-N-N-A: Revisting an American Town Where Black People Weren't Welcome After Dark," was jointly published with ProPublica in the November 2019 edition of Atlantic Monthly. The program is co-sponsored by Sangamon County Historical Society and Springfield and Central Illinois African American History Museum.
