Don your jammies, present your ticket and hop aboard the Polar Express! This weekend, The Legacy Theatre hosts four showings of The Polar Express, the story of one boy’s extraordinary journey to the North Pole, along with four pre-show cocoa parties which begin an hour and a half prior to show time. The Polar Express is rated PG and is appropriate for all audiences. It is based off the 1985 book written and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg. Upon arrival, attendees – aka passengers – will be greeted by “conductors” and led to the open-house style pre-show cocoa party, which includes cocoa, treats and crafts. After the film, passengers will have opportunity to visit and take a photo with a special North Pole visitor. A “sensory friendly” party and showing will be held on Saturday, Nov. 28, starting at 1 p.m., with the film at 2 p.m. Admission to each show is $15 in advance or $20 the day of. Crafts, cocoa, treats and a photo with Santa are included with each ticket price. A “lap pass” is available for $5 at the door, and enables a small child to sit on the lap of an adult with purchase of an adult ticket.
