The Discovery of Judd the Wooly Mammoth

In 2005, College freshman Judd McCullum made quite a discovery while doing a field study near Lincoln. He reached down into the stream for a mussel and pulled out portions of a 12-foot-long mammoth tusk. Join Dennis Campbell, director of Campbell Creekside Outdoor Center for Environmental Education, as he shares the amazing story of the discovery of Judd the Wooly Mammoth and get an up-close look at the mammoth’s tusks and teeth. In person at the ISM Research and Collection Center and streamed online. Program hosted by the Illinois State Museum and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.
