Storytelling for Collective Identity and Community Engagement

Storyteller Dr. Ada Cheng maps out her journey as an Asian American and immigrant storyteller. She explores how her personal stories reflect and mirror the urgent social concerns of our time with Asian American history woven throughout. Dr. Cheng invites you to think about why storytelling is integral to our understanding of personal and collective experiences and how we can use it to address inequity in our communities. Program made possible by the Illinois Humanities Road Scholar Program and will take place in-person and streamed online.
