Seed Collecting

Join The Friends of the Sangamon Valley for seed collecting workdays at Nipper Wildlife Sanctuary south of Loami. You'll be trained to identify the target flowers for the week to snip seed heads. Have a fun time meeting/talking with others as you collect seeds.
You're more than welcome to grab some extra seeds for your own project, or to share with friends.
Dress appropriately (gloves, pants and long sleeves are a good idea). Bring scissors or garden clippers if possible to aid in snipping seed heads, otherwise tools will be provided.
