Micah Walk is proud to announce the release of the second single from his forthcoming album Among the Stars, produced by Sadler Vaden of Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit. The song “Shades of Blue” is set for digital release on September 10, 2021.

Micah Walk is a singer/songwriter from Springfield IL and member of the award-winning Folk/Americana trio The Deep Hollow. His new independent solo album Among the Stars – due October 1, 2021 – features a band of A-list Nashville musicians, including Vaden who pulls double-duty as producer.

“Shades of Blue” is “essentially about divorce. But more generally, any difficult separation – maybe from a person, indoctrination, toxic belief, or just a bad idea – and how, after a while, even though life can feel like various shades of blue, it’s hard to imagine it any other way”

Featuring Walk on acoustic guitar and vocals, Vaden on electric guitars and background vocals, Kai Welch (Kacey Musgraves) on keyboards, Fred Eltringham (Sheryl Crow) on drums, and Tony Lucido (Winner, ACM Bass Player of the Year, 2020), “Shades of Blue” is Americana with a gently rocking drive. https://show.co/R9sZrrv
