LUNAFEST

LUNAFEST® is a film festival dedicated to amplifying stories by women and gender nonconforming filmmakers. Watch seven stunning new short films with themes of friendship, bravery and community. After, there will be a discussion with Emmy-winning Chicago based filmmaker, Samantha Sanders, whose film Swimming Through is part of LUNAFEST. All proceeds from this LUNAFEST event will support higher education opportunities for women locally, AAUW’s national Greatest Needs Fund, which seeks to advance gender equity, and Chicken & Egg Pictures, a nonprofit organization that supports women nonfiction filmmakers. Viewing age is 13 and older. Hosted by the Springfield branch of the AAUW.
