A Nashville, Tennessee, duo composed of guitarist and singer-songwriter Damon Atkins, joined by singer and songwriter Rylie Bourne makes up the sounds of LoneHollow. Both songwriters are influenced by Americana and Appalachian sounds, Rylie from her time going to bluegrass festivals with her family in Illinois and Damon from hanging out making music with friends in North Carolina. When they arrived in Nashville to separately work on careers in music, they happened to play together one time out of necessity, and when folks said they sounded good as a team, the LoneHollow combo arrived. With voices that blend well and songwriting that compliments each other's styles and direction, the two are set to make sweet and lasting sounds as a unit for some time. A new single called Lord Have Mercy was recorded live at Reeves Theater in Elkin, North Carolina, with a full band and just popped out as a new release on Aug. 14.
