The Springfield Art Association (SAA) is again taking over downtown where you can paint the streets and put your artistic talents on public display in a freshly created outdoor gallery. Each registrant will receive a 6x6-foot square to paint solo or with family, co-workers, clubs or sports teams – up to six painters can work on one square. The participation cost is $35 in advance and $40 on the day of the event, and all of the supplies are included. If you are feeling particularly talented and have a great design idea, consider spending the $45 to enter the pro category for a chance to win a cash prize. A food vendor will be on hand and live music will be playing throughout the day. Paint the Driveway is again an option this year. All proceeds benefit the operations and programming of the SAA, and admission is free. Check the website for details. springfieldart.org.
