In Her Footsteps: Ida B. Wells

Ida B. Wells-Barnett was an investigative journalist, civil rights activist and suffragist. Wells gained national recognition for her journalistic investigations of lynchings in the American South. She continued her activism in spite of racial and sexist prejudice, working with others to found many civil rights organizations including the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Jenn Edginton, ISM Director of Interpretation, will present this program.
