Get geared up for the holidays with a virtual visit with Santa, hosted by the Springfield Muni Opera. The Muni has been hard at work with Santa Claus to make sure that children throughout the Springfield area will have the opportunity to speak with the jolly fella prior to Christmas. "Santa Claus brings hope and peace to those around him," Craig Williams II, president of the Muni's board of managers said, "and we wanted to bring the spirit of the holidays to our community this year." During the event, families will be greeted online by cheerful elves and then have an opportunity to visit with Santa. Families can sign up for five-minute time slots and are encouraged to do so early, as the time slots will fill quickly. Don't forget to take a screenshot to add to your holiday memories. Sign up at The event is free, but donations are welcome.
