Four generations of taxidermy and teaching

Uploaded by David Schultz
Starting in the late 1800s the Oliver S. Biggs' family passed the knowledge of taxidermy from one generation to the next, with Oliver’s daughter Hazel creating a natural history museum and library from the family's collection. ISM curator of zoology, Dr. Meredith Mahoney, will discuss the Biggs family story and specimens from the family collection now housed at the Illinois State Museum. This event is online only.
