Slow Food Springfield, Benedictine University’s Green Club and the University of Illinois Extension present The Slow Food Springfield Film Festival at Benedictine University’s Library on Saturday, Jan. 25. Ingredients, The Movie and Food, Inc. will be shown at 2 p.m. Two Angry Moms and The Future of Food: A Looming Crisis will be screened at 4:15. Refreshments and dinner will be provided by 5flavors Catering and available for purchase from 3:45-4:15 p.m. and 5:45-6:30 p.m. The final film of the day is Mad City Chickens in the President’s Room auditorium from 6:30-8:30 p.m. followed by a panel discussion with local urban chicken producers.
