During the 200 years since Illinois became a state, women have been integral to its history. As activists, artists, scientists, and aviators, Illinois women have excelled both in and outside traditional gender roles and made Illinois what it is today. Join the ISM education team for an introduction to a handful of these women including Bessie Coleman, Francis Glessner Lee, and Laura Slobe.
