Hailing from Central Illinois and based up Bloomington-Normal way, singer-songwriter Dan Hubbard continues on his chosen path of a life in song with a new record called Attention. This one feeds off his last recording (done in 2016 with Ken Coomer, original Wilco drummer and now Nashville producer), developing themes of hope and loss, based in emotion and devotion, all awash in an Americana rock sound wrapped up around Dan’s emotive vocals. This guy stays busy traveling and pushing out the jams as a solo artist and with a band, all across the country. Locals may remember Dan and his group, the Humadors, when they had late-night spots at SOHO music festival, the immediate predecessor to the current Legacy of Giving (LoG) Fest, or from his recent solo shows at Craft Beer Bar. Any way you get Mr. Hubbard, the result is him in fine form, setting the performance bar high and the songs at a mighty level of goodness, making music from the heart, in the heartland, pulling on your heartstrings.
