Come together with your community and sing praise to God during the Ben Culli Hymn Festival on Sunday, April 22. The festival is organized by Springfield native and Milwaukee-based organist and composer Ben Culli, and will feature traditional hymns performed with accompaniment by Ben Culli on the organ, violinist Jean Tweet and the Sangamon Brass concert band. The theme of this year’s festival is “Come, Hear the Word,” and is inspired by a hymn of the same name that was composed by Culli with words by Paul Hosea. This festival is a joint effort by Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and Historic Grace Lutheran Church. This event is free to the public, and canned food donations to Grace Food Pantry will be accepted. For more information about the Ben Culli Hymn Festival, contact Grace Lutheran Church at 522-3965.
