Join us for a conversation about the Cholera outbreak in central Illinois with Mike Moseley, SIU School of Medicine, Pearson Museum's curator.
Few diseases are as closely identified with the 19th century as cholera. It has impacted millions of people all over the world, and 19th century central Illinois was no different. This talk will look at how local residents reacted to and dealt with the disease while also discussing from where where it came, how it got here and how it was treated.
