It's time to celebrate the season at the Rochester Fall Festival. The day's activities will include something for every member of the family. Stop by the Village of Rochester tent to sign up the kids for the costume contest. With advance registration and $5 the adults can enter the pie-eating contest for a chance to win a cash prize. Pumpkin painting will be available all day and a potato sack race that starts at noon will be open to anyone willing to give it a go. A variety of vendors will be in attendance selling everything from baked goods and produce to clothing and home décor items, and the hometown band Unchained will provide live music from 2-4 p.m. Smiley's Fair Food Truck will be ready to serve up some of those fair foods that we missed out on this year, such as corndogs and lemon shakeups. The park concession will also be open, and tops on its menu is everyone's favorite this time of year – apple cider.
