Join the Springfield Theatre Centre at the Hoogland Center for the Arts Jan 15-17 and 22-24 for their presentation of Tick, Tick… BOOM!, an autobiographical musical by American award-winning composer Jonathan Larson. Tick, Tick… BOOM! is set in New York City during the 1990s, and tells the story of a young man who is questioning his choice to foray into the performing arts, as well as the sacrifices that he made to pursue that dream. The show was originally performed as a solo work but was converted to a three-actor piece by playwright David Auburn after Larson’s death in 1996. Tick, Tick… BOOM! made its Off-Broadway debut in 2001, and has expanded to include a London production, an American national tour, plus numerous performances by local theater groups.
