Cured Catering's tag line is, "Catering doesn't have to be boring." And that's why it's called Cured Catering – because owners Brian and Melissa Reilly are trying to cure the kind of catering that's all too conventional and stale. For that, Springfield recognized Cured as the city's best caterer.

Using locally sourced ingredients as much as possible, Cured Catering strives to create a fusion of fresh and interesting food with artistic and engaging displays. Put simply, they aim to achieve the perfect blend of downhome familiarity and undiscovered flavor combinations – like music for your mouth.

Cured has a standard menu that contains items like taco bars, carving stations, boxed lunches and a wide variety of entrees for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cured can also accommodate patrons who want something special that's not on the menu.

Cured wants each of their guests, as they walk into the event, to look at the artful way in which the food is displayed and to know before they even taste the food that Cured is offering something different and better than its peers.

Cured not only caters delicious food but also has a mobile beverage company called Stirred to really give their customers the all-around catering experience. Stirred has three standard drink packages ranging from $14 a person to $20 a person. A la carte is also offered as an option.

Thanks to two simultaneous expansions in the works, one in Jacksonville and one in Buffalo, clients will be able to rent event space through Cured Catering as well. The company recently purchased a former Lutheran church in Buffalo and is in the process of converting it to an event, wedding and live music venue that will operate under the name The Bullard Country Chapel. Scheduled to open by early 2023, it will have event space for 200 guests and an outdoor courtyard.

In the meantime, the Reillys are leasing the former McClelland Dining Hall and Annie Merner Chapel on the campus of what was previously MacMurray College in Jacksonville. That location is currently being used to house the catering operations, and the chapel provides another option for those looking for event space.

Cured Catering can throw a party at a place of your choosing and provide plenty of food and beverage options, or you can utilize one of Cured's venues for your event. Either way, find out why readers voted Cured Catering this year's best caterer.
