fifth grade memory #1

I was the top tongue-twister:
"the big black bug bled black
blood on the big barn floor"
"to sit in solemn silence in a
dull, dark dock in a pestilential
prison with a lifelong lock
awaiting the sensation of a short
sharp shock..." plus much more
this latter from gilbert and sullivan
though I didn't realize till later when
G&S became family favorites: learned
also of S's anger for G&S fame while S's
gem, "the lost chord" was left behind
