mom wanted to visit madame tussauds
famous wax museum when they were in
london dad wasn’t eager he’d bunged his
knee was on a cane but he hobbled along
past lifelike ax murderers kings beheaded
queens winston churchill philanthropists
poets till tired he stood tall and still beside
a pillar hands in repose on his cane seemed
a waxwork himself a tourist came by looked
him over glanced down at his feet to learn
from the placard who he was there wasn’t
one of course she looked back up at him
puzzled and he winked her scream could
be heard farther than buckingham palace
