Musician David Cain (vocals, saxophone), seven-time Grammy-winner Paul Wertico (drums), Larry Gray (upright bass, cello and flute) and David Hoffman (trumpet and arranger for Ray Charles for 13 years) present a concert Saturday, March 16 at the Hoogland Center for the Arts. And present is the correct word here. The group does more than play music. Improvised jazzy tunes are mixed with soulful words and other multiple sensory experiences that Cain can pull out of his artistic magician’s hat. For those wanting the maximum taste and feel to the evening, buy a $75 ticket. It will get you into the show, a 6 p.m. meet-and-greet and 6:30 p.m. gourmet dinner created by Chef Shaun Moore of Arena Food Service.
