The Animal Protective League (APL) will hold dog and cat adoptions this Saturday and Sunday at three Springfield locations.
Adoptable dogs will be available Saturday, May 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and cats until 3 p.m. at Ace Hardware, 1600 West Wabash. Dogs will also be featured Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at County Market in the Fairhills Shopping Center, 1903 West Monroe.
On Sunday, May 12, cats will be featured from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at PetSmart, 3183 south Veterans Parkway.
All animals adopted through APL are spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped.
APL is a non-profit organization committed to caring for sick, injured, abused and abandoned dogs and cats and finding the best possible permanent homes for them. In addition to regular pet adoptions, the organization coordinates cruelty investigations and humane education programs and operates a low cost spay/neuter clinic adjacent to its Springfield shelter at 1001 Taintor Road in Springfield.
